DRUMBOTIC

DRUMBOTIC is a sound project capable of taking out of reach objects in your environment and turning them into percussive instruments at your fingertips.  

It allows a person or group to tap on a coffee cup and strike objects and architectures as near as a ceiling overhead and far as a mile away. This distance is traversed  wirelessly, leaving little or no evident trace back to the “drummer.”

An electrical signal is made by tapping on any object fitted with a piezo transducer. That electrical signal is translated to data by a program written in processing. Then, the data is sent wirelessly to a module placed against an object some distance away.  Finally, the data signals a battery powered solenoid to strike the object.them into percussive instruments at your fingertips.
